Compute Infrastructure as a Service: Recommendations from the Open Data Center AllianceSM and TM Forum
|
| |
TM Forum Enterprise-Grade External Compute Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Requirements v 1.1
TM Forum Enterprise-Grade External Compute Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Requirements v 1.1 was constructed after referring to TM Forum’s Frameworx suite of standards. Frameworx provides the blueprint for effective business operations, enabling a business to assess and improve performance by using a proven, service-oriented approach to operations and integration which allows executives to focus on growing your business. The spreadsheet derives from Frameworx 11.5. See http://www.tmforum.org/TMForumFrameworx/1911/home.html

Enterprise-Grade Virtual Private Cloud from a State-of-the-Art Reference Implementation
Enterprise-Grade Virtual Private Cloud from a State-of-the-Art Reference Implementation refers to Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) help address critical business needs for a more agile and less costly IT operating model with greater vendor contestability. This paper can assist organizations in jump starting their VPC initiatives by detailing the capabilities and requirements of a state-of-the-art VPC, providing a reference architecture, and quantifying the benefits and metrics from an enterprise-grade VPC reference implementation that was tested in a lab environment. These results showed that VPCs can deliver high levels of automation, time savings, and can operate VMs at costs up to 75% less than comparable public cloud offerings.
|
| |
Enterprise-Grade External Compute IaaS Requirements v 1.2
Enterprise-Grade External Compute IaaS Requirements v 1.2 is a technical report addressing commercial, technical and operational requirements of enterprise-grade, external compute Infrastructure as a Service, also known as virtual private cloud.
|
| |
Cloud Business Models
Cloud Business Models explores a number of cloud business models and illustrates how the ECLC work on of enterprise-grade, external compute Infrastructure as a Service, also known as Virtual Private Clouds, is linked to NIST efforts to model clouds.
|
| |
Commercial Framework
One of the significant cost-elements and barriers to adoption of cloud services is the difficulty in establishing a master services agreement between the provider and the consumer. Such agreements can take several months to negotiate, and can result in high legal costs on both sides.
|
| |
Compute Infrastructure as a Service
In order to meet the compute infrastructure requirements for the broad range of service consumers, a common framework is required around which compute infrastructure as a service can be defined, provisioned, monitored and managed. A common set of principles, metrics and architectural frameworks can be defined, resulting in consistent capabilities, service levels and service attributes across multiple providers, while still allowing the individual providers to innovate and differentiate.
|
| |
Service Orchestration
This document focuses on service discovery and orchestration for Compute IaaS. It defines automation required for orchestration that includes programmatic interfaces, interaction patterns, control interfaces, and lifecycle management.
